Trumpeter swans are North America’s biggest native waterfowl. They were once endangered because of hunting, but are now recovering. An early 21st century survey found an estimated 34,800 individuals. Hunting them is now illegal in the US, but they are still threatened by lead poisoning, habitat loss, and hitting powers lines. Their conservation efforts include management plans for different populations including the Rocky Mountain population.

The Trumpeter Swans linocut print is 9” x 12,” and the paper is 12” x 15.” It is printed on Rives BFK paper with black ink in an edition of 20.
