There are Greater Sandhill Cranes that migrate through our area of Northwest Colorado, and some spend the summer here raising chicks. They are always surprisingly large when you spot them in a field of spring snowmelt or walking through an expanse of fresh green hay.

Sandhill Crane is an original linocut on Rives BFK paper printed with black ink and painted with gouache in a small edition of 20 prints. It’s also beautiful as a black and white print without the added color, just let me know if you’d like it that way! The image is 18 x 24 inches and the paper is 22 x 30 inches.
