Mountain lions gracefully prowl the Yampa Valley and across much of the western United States. This linocut was inspired by a conversation with Kevin Dietrich, wildlife photographer in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He told me the stories of several different mountain lion encounters he’s had and this print is based on one of his photographs.

This is an original linocut on Rives BFK paper printed with black ink and painted with gouache in a small edition of 20 prints. It’s also beautiful as a black and white print without the added color, just let me know if you’d like it that way! The image is 18 x 24 inches and the paper is 22 x 30 inches.
