Did you know that some mule deer travel more than 100 miles one way? The longest recorded migration was Wyoming Deer 255 who traveled 242 miles one direction. In the spring, herds head to green vegetation in the mountains, and in winter they return to desert areas where the ground is exposed for browsing.

Mule Deer is an original linocut on Rives BFK paper printed with black ink and painted with gouache in a small edition of 20 prints. It’s also beautiful as a black and white print without the added color, just let me know if you’d like it that way! The image is 18 x 24 inches and the paper is 22 x 30 inches.
