Arctic fireweed is also known as dwarf fireweed because it is so much shorter- at only 1 to 2 feet tall, than its taller relative. Those big magenta blooms are unmistakably fireweed, though. Plants form low, spreading mats across bare gravel often along streams.

The Arctic Fireweed linocut print is 9” x 12,” and the paper is 11” x 15.” It is printed on Stonehenge Pearl Gray paper with shades of green and blue ink and pink and blue gouache in an edition of 20.
