Dusky Grouse
Dusky Grouse
Dusky grouse are residents of the Western United States including my state, Colorado. The males like in my image have red air sacs and yellow eye combs. They spend their winters in forests preferring stands of Douglas Fir and lodgepole pine. In the spring they move to their breeding grounds in areas with aspens and sage brush, or subalpine meadows and creek bottoms.
This Dusky Grouse linocut print is 9” x 12,” and the paper is 12” x 15.” It is printed on Rives BFK paper with black ink in an edition of 20.
