Brown's Park
Brown's Park
This large desert landscape is based on a photo I took in Brown’s Park, Northwest Colorado. The majestic evening cloud was so captivating that when we were able to organize a steamroller printing event, I knew I wanted to carve a huge linocut of the scene.
Steamroller printing is a a fun technique where large relief prints are inked and printed by driving over them with a steamroller or road roller. Mine didn’t print very well, so I took it to Sue Oehme of Oehme Graphics where we printed it with her large etching press.
Brown’s park is printed with black ink onto Rives BFK paper. The image is 34 × 48 inches. It is a limited edition of 7.
