This 6 x 35 inch long original hand printed linocut was created to help in designing a mural of the Yampa River commissioned by Friends of the Yampa in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It was first carved as a linocut, printed, and painted by hand with gouache.

The final Yampa Is Wild mural is based on the style of this image and can now be seen on the Ambulance Building at 911 Yampa Street in downtown Steamboat Springs, CO.
