The Bear River starts in the Flat Tops Mountains in Northwest Colorado and winds its way down to join Phillips Creek near the town of Yampa, Colorado. This is where the Yampa River officially begins. This long green valley is always so breathtakingly beautiful and full of wildflowers during mid summer. It’s a favorite place for our family to hike and camp!
