Carving, printing, and painting a linocut is a slow and meditative way to make artwork. But nothing is more exciting for me than seeing a new print come off the block for the first time. Each of these images was carved by hand into a sheet of linoleum and then inked and printed to create a piece of graphic original art, like making your own giant rubber stamp. The painted colors you see on these prints were created with watercolor or gouache painted onto the black and white print.
I’m influenced by nature, landscapes, wildlife, language, music, and the bright whimsy of children’s illustration. Thank you for visiting!
