When I was a kid, I wanted to grow up to be an astronaut or a writer. Instead I became a musician. After I quit the orchestra and sold my oboe I grew into an artist.

I loved printmaking from the beginning of my artistic experiments. My first prints were of little couches I carved out of potatoes- couch potatoes, ha ha ha! I quickly moved on to linoleum printing and I’ve been stuck there happily ever since.

Almost all of my art has been related to words or books. Artist books are hand made from original artwork sewn and crafted into a book. Sometimes I make blank sketch books for fun. Making books with content is a long process but very rewarding.

For the last few years I’ve been committed to becoming a children’s book illustrator and author. Drawing and writing stories for children is the most engaging thing I’ve ever done.

I live in Steamboat Springs, Colorado with two cats, a dog, a husband, and lots of snow. My work has been exhibited in many fine art galleries and gift shops.
